By IMSA

With the completion of its second test on American soil at Circuit Of The Americas, The Duo Will Be Part of Lamborghini’s GTP Roster Starting at Sebring in March

A day after they were named to drive the Lamborghini SC63 Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) entry starting at Sebring in March, Romain Grosjean and Matteo Cairoli were designated today to fill out the Rolex 24 At Daytona lineup in the No. 60 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 in the GT Daytona (GTD) class.

The duo joins Matteo Cressoni and Claudio Schiavoni as the quartet to wheel the No. 60 Huracán in the 2024 season opener Jan. 27-28 at Daytona International Speedway.

Grosjean is a veteran of both Formula One and the IndyCar Series, while Cairoli boasts GT experience in the FIA World Endurance Championship. In his WeatherTech Championship debut this year at Daytona, Grosjean was part of the Iron Lynx team that finished fourth in the GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) class. Cairoli will be making his series debut next month.

“We are delighted to welcome Romain and Matteo to the No. 60 car for the 24 Hours of Daytona,” said Andrea Piccini, Iron Lynx team principal and CEO. “Romain drove with us in car No. 63 last year and raced well.

Matteo is well known at Iron Lynx as we shared an ELMS (European Le Mans Series) season but will race together for the first time with Lamborghini, so we’re really looking forward to seeing him driving at Daytona. They will make a very strong addition to the lineup of car No. 60.”
